This revolutionary Hydraulic Quick trim System designed by Baker Performance Works utilizes Hydraulic Power to reduce rider fatigue and enhance smooth and easy operation.
| With the 1998 IJSBA Rules Book hot off
the presses there have been a few changes. Most significant of the changes are for the
limited classes They are now able to run with an aftermarket trim system. This new rule
will allow racers in the limited class to remove the motorized trim system and install a
manual trim system. Not all trim systems are alike! Manual trim systems allow for quicker turning hence the name "quick trim", but Terry Baker of Baker Performance Works has stepped it up a notch by making the trim lever hydraulic. Because it's a manual lever, regular trim systems can cause rider hand fatigue. Different amounts of pressure are applied to the lever based on the speed of the boat to get the steering nozzle (on the back of the boat) down into the water, forcing the front of the boat down and eliminating propoising - allowing for a quicker turn. The Hydraulic trim system reduces hand fatigue because the same amount of pressure is needed regardless of the speed of the boat. Baker Performance Works Hydraulic Trim system also allows for a much smoother turn because when you release the nozzle it returns to the neutral position gradually which also eliminates propoising. |
